What We’re Watching
Synonym Finance
For those who may not be familiar, Synonym is a cross-chain lending market built on top of Wormhole and Circle. Ever since the merge of New Order DAO and Synonym last year, Synonym has managed to build connections with various DeFi protocols and aims to compete with the likes of Radiant and Tapioca which are built using Layer Zero technology.
Similar to how RDNT trades as a proxy to ZRO and the upcoming airdrop, we could see SYNO benefit as a result of Wormhole airdrop speculation. Synonym is also built by a very competent team, and aims to integrate a wide range of assets with protocols like Redacted Cartel, Y2K Finance, Jones DAO, and more…We’re bullish on interoperability going into the next bull run, and Synonym stands to benefit as a potential Radiant/Tapioca competitor that aims to differentiate themselves through innovation and integrations. Synonym will be launching on mainnet as well as their token very soon (was slightly delayed), so it could be worth keeping an eye out.
Trestle
Trestle aims to build infrastructure for the Celestia ecosystem with various products such as wrapped TIA on ETH, TIA bridging, yields in TIA via the team-run validator, and a TIA-aligned launchpad/DEX built on a rollup leveraging Celestia.
Trestle is currently running their LBP on Fjord, where roughly 1/3 of the token supply will be auctioned off over the course of a few days. Past Fjord LBPs like OLAS, RSTK, and VEC have performed very well post-launch, and we could see a similar phenomenon with Trestle. As always, DYOR and ape responsibly.
