What We’re Watching
Solana
Solana has clearly been the kingmaker trade of the bear market, as SOL, ecosystem tokens, and constant airdrops continue to propel this chain to new heights. We’ve recently even seen both 24-hour and 7-day volume on Solana surpass Ethereum, although it was brief. This volume has mostly been off the back of meme coins like BONK and WIF, but it’s still extremely impressive and indicates that Solana is here to stay.
While most of the hyped-up airdrops on Solana are getting diluted, it still is an ecosystem that you should probably have exposure to. We’ve been eyeing BLZE, a liquid staking protocol, AURY, a Solana-native GameFi project, and SHDW, a DePin project as potential bets going forward. SOL itself has also shown itself to be an extremely strong bet despite its already massive run with major supply overhangs. There have also been interesting new launches from projects like Flash Trade, which could also be worth watching as many of these newer tokenless protocols aim to launch their tokens in these sorts of market conditions.
Florence Finance
Florence Finance is a Euro-denominated RWA project on Arbitrum, and aims to bring SME funding on-chain. “Florence Finance works with existing SME lenders to gain access to diverse SME credit exposure by providing an alternative source of funding to Lenders with a proven track record of success in sourcing and managing specific types of SME credit.
Florence Finance seeks to be the most efficient and transparent wholesale funder (re-distributor) of such diversified SME credit exposure by creating a platform to enable real-world loans to be used as collateral in tried and tested DeFi primitives (loan vaults) to facilitate the efficient funding thereof, without the use of leverage or fractional reserves”.
Florence will be having a token sale on January 6th, where they aim to raise $1M at a $25M FDV with an initial market cap of $2.5M.
This could be worth watching if you’re interested in RWAs, and users can also earn points by depositing in one of their vaults.
